The PSL is a new way that we are going to participate in sports in 5/6 . Everyone will be put in a team, you will be allocated a sport, and you will be participating in a championship season for that sport!
In the PSL, it is structured so that everyone has the chance to participate in different ways. Each person in the team will be required to play, BUT you will also be allocated roles that you have to perform each week. Fulfilling your roles will result in extra points being awarded to your team. So it doesn’t matter if you aren’t the best player in your team, you are still a really important member and you could determine whether your team comes out on top at the end of the season!
PE sessions will consist of both training, playing and anything else that your role may require (umpiring, scoring, stats, photos, etc)
At the end of the season, there will be a celebration where team and individual awards will be presented, and to acknowledge all of the hard work that has gone into the season!
Each member of your team will be required to be a player, BUT you will also have another role that you have to fulfill. You will score extra points for your team if these roles are performed properly.
Each role will come with a tick sheet, and this will help you with knowing what tasks you have to complete each week.
The PSL is all about inclusion and everyone having a good time! We want everyone participating to feel like they are in an environment where they are SAFE, RESPECTED and are able to complete their RESPONSIBILITIES without any hassles. This is why we have created a CODE OF CONDUCT, which lists the expectations for each player to abide by.
